Designing and styling and giving spaces a new life for others are something that we truly love. It’s our passion. But the ones that we adore the most, are those with a wonderful cause behind them. It’s always a reminder of something bigger than ourselves, and a way to help others…. we believe it’s our calling to place our talents where they’re needed and we’re always left feeling beyond humbled by it all. It’s one of those situations where you learn more and grow from it… And that kind of blows us away.
We’re thrilled to announce another great little project we have in the works, in our soon-to-be hometown.
{Did I just write that?!}
Carbine and Associates are building an amazing House for Hope, in Franklin, Tennessee. And we’re honored to be a part of the design team alongside some of our very favorite people.
Interior design tastemakers and social media influencers from throughout the Southeast have been selected for the Nashville area’s inaugural House for Hope Designer Show House partnering with builder, Carbine & Associates, with a goal of yielding over $100,000 for children’s charities. Builders of the 2013 Traditional Home magazine house and the HGTV® Smart Home in Nashville, James Carbine, president of Carbine & Associates, said the home event will be one of the first of its kind in the nation and located in a new Williamson County neighborhood, Southern Preserve.
“Some of the most creative designers from a four state area are lending their time and talents to this inspirational home tour which will impact the lives of so many young people,” Carbine said. “As part of our company’s 30-year anniversary in building, rather than hosting a big party, we are pleased to be giving back to our community through the nonprofit 501(c)(3), House for Hope Foundation, and for the first time are partnering with a creative team of this caliber.”
The other day we were thrilled to meet up with Carbine & Associates, along with some of the fabulous creatives in charge of each space in the house. It was a beautiful day in an awesome farmhouse… and I didn’t think to take better photos because my brain was fried from Disney + making an offer on that house we’d just found + oh my goodness we’re actually doing this. This was the best I could do. So instead, here’s the house for hope and how amazing it will be…
These are some pretty little renderings from their own page of the house itself, and we’re so excited to be a part of something with such a good cause. Aren’t these illustrations inspiring?
Jamin and I will be putting our own touch on the children’s playroom, and we thought it was the perfect fit. We’re inspired to be working side by side with some incredible people and businesses, and can’t wait to share some of our ideas we have in the works. You may purchase tickets to tour the home, and even bid on some of the beautiful wares + art we’ll be bringing.
Read more details on it all here. We’d love to see you there this fall!
So stay tuned… we’re cooking up quite a bit here at The Handmade Home {I know. You guys are staying tuned a lot lately, huh? Promise to make it worth your while ;}}
Here’s where we’d love your help! We want your input, guys! And if you have any of your fave ideas you’d like to see in a children’s play area… especially one for a good cause… shoot them our way! We’d love to see/hear some of your ideas. It’s always fun to feel so inspired by y’all. Shoot them our way!
