We were thrilled to share our little spring porch earlier this week, and one of the things we wanted to share today, is how to install numbers on your front porch using dropcap studio!
Now that we’ve added them, we can’t imagine the front porch without them, and we adore how far it’s all come along.
These fabulous brass numbers are from Dropcap Studio, and we think you’re going to adore this delightful company.
how to install numbers on your front porch – awesome fonts
These guys offer a little bit of anything, and what we love the most is their love of fonts. Because we’re kind of obsessed ourselves. {Hello, font snob club – and yes, we should probably do an update on that one.} Not only are there a lot of options, but they’re good options, at that. {Sorry guys, I’m pretty sure that means Comic Sans is out… or are they?!}

And we ADORE the fun character they brought to the front of our house! They have so many great options, we simply chose what we wanted, and they were here! We feel like it brought so much interest to the front porch, for sure.
But it’s suddenly like, here’s some dappled sunlight and a whole lot of fabulous character at the front door. And the very best part? Is that they’re really easy to install!
The process literally took just around thirty minutes, and the numbers were up and in place!
This was so easy peasy, and what we loved the most: {other than the gorgeous product, of course!} the numbers came with a little template so that we could line them up on the brick of our house.
The points to drill correspond with the places that come ready to hang on the backs of your numbers.
So we simply matched up the drill bit, and added the holes.

When we’d marked our places, we removed the paper, and kept going to the needed depth of the screws.
Make sure you have the correct drill bit not only in size, but also for the material you are drilling into. In our case we used a masonry bit and a hammer drill to drill the holes. You wouldn’t want to try to drill into brick or concrete with a normal drill – you’d be drilling for days.
Once our holes were drilled, we placed the screws on the backs of the numbers, and they were ready to be placed in the brick to dry fit them.
how to install numbers on your front porch – use caulk
We added a little caulk in the holes secure them in place and fit the screws back in place.
Tada! We were finito!
And there we have it! I think I need a dinner party at my house now, just so we can look at the numbers on my front porch.
I kid.
Maybe.
I mean, are these big brass beauts drool worthy or what?!
When we have a little more yard work under control, we’ll be sure to share some more shots of the great numbers and columns action going on with all things The Money Pit.
Stay tuned + hurry up Spring!
Thanks for stopping by, as always!

I’m curious what size and material your numbers are. I’m trying to pick but oh man it’s tough.

Hey, Yes it is always tough, everything is so fun and pretty! We went with 8″ metallic gold cast aluminum. I hope that helps the decision process some!
