So there’s a few things that have been going on around our home lately, and they were so relevant to us, I thought you might also find them useful to you.
First up: Manners. I think they’re so important. I realize that everyone views this differently with their children. But I made some charts to use for positive reinforcement with our little ones…and I thought I’d share.
You could fill it in as large or small, as you like. And whether it’s with stickers, writing it in, or letting your little ones do it themselves, it’s a great way to teach them to work their way towards something. So in combination with our chore chart, we are on our way to becoming real life big kids! I know. I even included ‘you’re welcome.’ It’s like the bonus round for kids with manners. We hope you can use it!
Speaking of manners…
Remember those tags from Emerson’s birthday party? Well, I’m on my way to knocking out those thank you notes, and I thought I’d make some cards and tags to match the party theme.
Cards in a 5 x 7 + 5 x 5 format, as well as some handy dandy tags to go with them. Whether it’s your own party you’ll use them for, a little happy note to pass along, a tag on a gift, thank you notes, or organizational labels…
The possibilities are all yours, to see what you can use them for.
They look great paired with color envelopes, fun wrapping paper, vellum… and all by themselves.

I love these little cards and tags. I spotted a bunch of colored envelopes at the thrift store a few days ago. Wasn’t sure if I’d use them. I’ll have to go back and snatch them up for exactly this reason. I’ve been wanting to begin a weekly scripture memory verse with my kids. I think I’ll use the 5×7 cards and a sharpie to create the verses and put them on the fridge so we can all learn them together. They are much prettier than a plain old recipe card. Any chance you can make them in a format that I can type my verse on and print it out instead of having to print first and then write? I know, I know, I’m so high maintenance. Lazy is probably a better word đ Also, and this is me being super high maintenance but would you be willing to publish the color codes for the specific colors you’ve used on the cards? Do you know what I mean? (Whenever you highlight a font in any program you can go into the format and change the color. You can either select “standard” or “custom”. If you select custom it will give the red, green and blue a number value. If you would be willing to share those numbers then we could make our colors match yours perfectly!) Thanks again for all these freebies. We are so spoiled!

As the mom of four grown children and longtime preschool teacher, thank you for this positive way for families of young children to work on developing good manners. These kind ways of treating others will ease your children’s way in the world and bless others as they go. My children were told many times by teachers, future employers, and others that they received jobs and awards in part because of their thoughtfulness in writing thank you notes for recommendations. Thank you for these reminders!
