psssst…. shop our spaces here!
Remember that special installation we worked on around Thanksgiving? If not, this may refresh your memory…
Here you can see their dining room design, kitchen redo, and family room reveal. We’ve slowly been sharing their spaces, and today, we wanted to share a little bit of their fun master bedroom reveal with you. This is the only photo we really have of their bedroom, before they moved in. As you can see, it was a beige paradise and blank slate begging for some personality.
Mark and Jillina said they’d never had a “grown up bedroom” before. So we toned down the dirty vibe of builders beige walls, and brightened up with bold touches of color.
If you know us, then you know we love bright colors and patterns, mixed in with softer touches in linens and textures.
Mark and Jillina were open to some fun ideas, and we loved bringing their space to life.
The mirror over the bed was a nice accent we loved adding, to calm all the personality going on over the bed. It offers a nice simple contrast.
We topped it off with a vintage chandelier we found on Ebay. Because vintage chandeliers.
The rug combined with the bedding is what sent their fun design over the top.
Since they weren’t doing anything with their flooring at the moment, they wanted a nice, beautiful rug to really anchor the space for them.
And of course, accents were brought inorganically, since sometimes old books and favorite jewelry pieces with trays and gold can make the very best accents.
Again, we loved bringing in some of the art from Jillina’s past travels in Europe, to add that special touch.
Mark and Jillina definitely wanted a TV in their space, and the most logical place was over the dresser. We suggested another large canvas to simply cover the art, so that when it’s not in use, their room still carries a lot of personality… just like their family room design.
This dresser was handed down from Jillina’s grandmother, and we suggested they leave the gorgeous wood as is. It makes an elegant contrast with all the bright colors in the space.
We still love this etagere from Wayfair so much, that we recommended it for their bedroom, too.
It brings in a lot of extra storage, on an otherwise lost wall.
Their space is cozy and refreshed. It feels like a real retreat at the end of the day.
So what’s your favorite part about the space? We’d love to hear!
Have an inspired day!
