handmade projects for the holidays

Where has the time gone? It feels like it was just April. We’d just moved here, and we were piling into an apartment hoping to gut out our house soon. What was supposed to take a couple of months turned into a six month {+Plus – we still have the basement to do!} saga. We had no idea it would take so much time, but we also had no idea that it would be November already?! Crazy.

We’re just happy to be here. But does anyone else feel like they can’t catch their breath? I just want to curl up on the sofa and watch every single thing available on Netflix while I eat all the chocolate. All. Of. The. Chocolate.

We’re a little torn every year, because we really like to wait until after Thanksgiving to gear up for all things Christmas. When the clock strikes midnight at Halloween, people are throwing up their Christmas trees, and I’m all…

Side eye to the max. Break out the pitchforks, Jim.

Jk. I’m not really side-eyeing. We know everyone views it differently. So you must note the irony of our job every year that requires a little ahead-of-time-idea-sharing for us, when we do like to wait.

But I hope you’re still reading, because we also say do what you love. So in honor of all things holidaisical apocalypse, we wanted to round up some of our very fave projects of the past, to get into the holiday spirit whenever you want to. I mean, if you can’t beat ’em… right? When in Rome. Insert other phrases that sound good, here.

So without further ado, here’s a few of our fave handmade projects for the holidays:

And one of the reasons we have this little round up of sorts today… tune in next week, when we’re back partnering with The Home Depot building this fun little project! (Available through their local workshops, where you’re able to learn how to build so many great projects.)

Never mind. Consider us Christmasfied. We’re breaking out all the sparkles and gold. The American Gothic in me will just have to calm herself with some eggnog.

Have an inspired day!
