It’s round six, y’all!
If you’ve been tuning in for a while now, then you know we’ve been a part of the Waverly inspirations challenge, where every month we get some more goodies in the mail. And from those goodies, we create something with their fabulous products.
So for our first round, we decided to tackle a fun summer tablescape.
With round two, a diy art case for back to school!
This awesome menu planner {If we do say so ourselves} for round three.
Our Halloween Totes for round four – you could change them for any every day occasion! So much fun.
This owl wreath to warm up our home for fall was our little project for round five
And for this round…
The fabulous people at Waverly sent us some beautiful fabrics in the mail, and the challenge was to create a Thanksgiving tablescape.
Tablescapes are our very favorite! Of course, we thought… We couldn’t wait!
Except we’re not quiiiiite finished with our dining room table just yet. And by not quite finished, I mean we haven’t started. {Yes, we have plans to build one so I can get the right size… surprise surprise…}
We’ve been really honing in on everything we have to be thankful for this year. Our family just finished a bit of a crazy transition and we are so very grateful for so many reasons. So this round, we decided to do something special for the kids, at a casual kids table for Thanksgiving. This way, they and their cousins have a special place to sit, just for them. We thought it would be fun to mix it up a bit.
We love tablescapes, and more importantly, we love cheating. ;}
So this entire table was no-sew for us. We simply cut our fabrics to size, and ironed the seams under. It’s a great quick fix if ever there’s a dinner party, and no one is any the wiser. Plus, you can use it for something else fun, later.
We did add a few easy pillows underneath for soft seating. Which of course, made them feel special.
Another cheater’s tip, is that all those pumpkins from fall decor and Halloween can also be used for all things Thanksgiving. I picked a few flowers from our yard, and the kids gathered some leaves and we had a pretty little arrangement for the table.
We’re loving these bright beautiful colors for fall.
I’m feeling kinda clever, mahself. ::Blows on fingernails… rubs on shirt::
It’s cool to sit at the kids’ table. Just sayin.
Oh! And if you want to create your own children’s table this year, we have some easy peasy printables for them! Get them here: {thankful + thankful flags}
I don’t know about you guys, but I want to sit here and color! ;}
As always, let us know if you try it.
Have an inspired day!

Beautiful job! We love color at our house so it’s always nice to see someone doing something besides neutral or white…
