We must say, Saturday kind of snuck up on us. In between lots of {super fun, can’t-wait-to-show-you} client work, projects around here, family time and a little rest… it’s Saturday! I blame Monday. I think the holiday totally threw us for a loop. So we’ll start here… even if it’s going up a little later than usual, just in case ya missed it this week on The Handmade Home…
• 10 foolproof decorating tips – and a sweet living room reveal with clients
• Shed happens – our secret weapon for all things adopting two giant dogs
• Another freebie – All is Well
Here’s a few of our fave finds on the www this week:
• when your kitchen goes all after school special
• because we’re on a salad kick and this looks amazing – ps – I still say QUINOWA – shhhh.
• and to cancel ourselves out… this.
• this great house tour
• A good read for everyone, because even in adulthood this is hard: someone else’s feelings aren’t you own
And on a serious note, because we share this every year, and we think it’s super important to share: Drowning doesn’t look like drowning – it actually happens in plain sight, and it happened to me at a kiddo’s birthday party. Right in front of all the chatting adults. Luckily, I knew what to look for because of this article, and the only thing that was injured that day, was my phone.
and ending it on a positive note… this tour, too. Yay for color!
Have an inspired day!
Great finds and the salad looks so delicious! Yoy are right, yay for color! Amazing!
So glad you always share the drowning article. When we lived in Hawaii both my son and my husband almost drown. My son was less than 2 feet from me. Important to note, I knew my husband was in trouble because he looked like he was swimming but wasn’t coming closer to shore. He was an excellent swimmer and in the Coast Guard!!! It can happen to anyone! Thankfully they both made it out ok!
Oh my goodness! Yes so glad they’re okay! How truly terrifying.
We have a cousin who is a recovery diver. He says every time he’s in a recovery situation, the victim was a good swimmer. Like you said, it can happen to anyone.
