We decorated earlier than usual this year, because I have been looking forward to a little rest. While I would usually be a bit scrambled, we’ll be enjoying that Christmas glow, and the family only resented me for like twelve whole hours instead of nine entire days. We did it! Winning.
Today, I thought it would be fun to share {one of?} our little Christmas tree{s} this year, along with some fun and colorful Christmas Decor Ideas… in case you’re looking for a little fun inspiration to freshen it all up.
I’ve never decorated with tinsel, and this year, I was inspired by that vintage look with some fresh color. Honestly, I am smitten with our tree this year. It just feels like it’s so us.
I say we have multiple trees because I’m a junkie and can’t help myself. It’s fun to have one dedicated to the pretty things and more to all the sentimental ones. Each kiddo gets a tree in their room where they decorate it to their hearts’ content {my daughter now leaves hers up all year, apparently} and then we have two in the basement that hold some of our memories and very faves. Here’s another little one – see our constellation wreath here.
But this grand colorful one in the middle of our great room, just makes us smile. So without further ado, here are some fun colorful finds we’re spying this year! From left to right: {some of these may contain affiliate links}
glass trees {champagne} / jingle bell garland / Every Time A Bell Rings – see our sale here! / metal star / candle holders /
falala pillow / tree platter + glass / throw blanket / mirrorball ornaments / straw star / small ornaments / tinsel /
velvet ribbon / snow angel pillow / pastel candles / candy cane pillow /
star light {this one takes me back to college} / garland / ornaments
It’s all about the fun details this year. What are some of your favorite accents that you’re adding? We’d love to hear.
Have an inspired day!

Gorgeous! Tell me how you did your ribbon? Did you cut a certain length and just lay them over a branch? I haven’t used tinsel in years and was thinking about it this year! This is motivating me to just push on through and get it done!

Awe tank you Leigh! Yes – I have never done tinsel but I adore how it makes the tree sparkle. With the ribbon, I unrolled the entire thing, then divided it up equally and cut. Next, I just draped it over each branch. I figured I achieved maximum length this way, and they’ve stayed. I did this step last after the tinsel and ornaments were placed so I made sure every spot was filled in {as much as possible}. Game changer with color AND sparkle. I hope this helps!
