We’ve really enjoyed taking our time decking the halls this year, and coming up with a few fun ideas! We decided to add to the kiddos’ room, with these fun colorful star garlands.
Their space is always so happy and bright, we love what this added to their room.
So simple to make, with such a fun addition to any space!
You only need a few things.
Want to make some of your own? Here’s what you’ll need:
• wooden stars – we did a pack of two
• yarn or twine
• glue + glue gun
• acrylic paint + brushes + drop cloth
{If you’re anything like me, you can probably pull from your craft supplies}
I knew I either wanted a really long strand, or two strands. So knowing that each set had 24 stars, and I ordered 48, {2 sets} I first picked out the colors I wanted, in even numbers. Then I divided them into sets of four, and rainbow order.
Because rainbows. Duh.
I painted them in sets, flipping them over to the other side and doing the same when the first set was dry.
Using some twine, I laid each star out, eyeballing the length, and added hot glue to the back as I went.
It dried quickly and it was ready to go!
Then we strung them up on their curtain rods.
I’m such a sucker for anything stars.
True story, the kids weren’t home when I shot this because sunlight is scarce these days. But the dogs love to sit in and get treats. They legit think that they need to sit for nearly every shot.
I have a sneaking suspicion they’re invited up to certain beds when we’re not looking… c’est la vie!
Don’t they make such great little models? I guess we’re a little biased.
As always, let us know if you try it. We’d love to hear!
Have an inspired day!
