I feel like it’s definitely end of the year gift giving season! We were inspired by my friend Julie’s story on instagram a couple of weeks ago, and decided to make some of our own! {You can find her patches, linked in her stories.} Aren’t these so fun?! Clever too, because these shirts are retailing for 70+ in some swanky stores. Check out her stories for all the details. In the meantime, I decided to create some DIY monogram pouches for a simple gift idea!
Pssst… we found our particular sweatshirts here. They’re lightweight and come in lots of fun colors + super soft. We’re wearing mediums for that relaxed look.
These are so easy to do, they’re almost comical. But Because we can all use a little easy, I thought why not share this little idea to make it oh so fun?
They make the best little pouches on the go, and you only need a few easy things to make it happen. They’re perfect for bulk gifts or party swag and more.
Here’s what you’ll need:
• patches – {though any iron on patches will do, I love these little rainbow ones to make them fun!
• pouches – you can use any type, but I love this size. It even comes with divider pockets on the inside, which makes it oh so handy. They come in multiple colors, but I kept it simple with one.
• tassels – Because tassels. Duh.
These are adhesive on the back, and iron on anything. It’s handy so you can position them in place. Remove your patch, and place centered on your bag.
Cover with a towel, and iron the front for 30-ish seconds.
Don’t steam it – I learned that mistake the hard way. Just hold steady.
Then flip it over and iron on the inside with a towel, as well. {Careful not to melt that inside!}
Tada! Your patch is on.
I cut off the little leather tabs they came included with, and decided to jazz it up with tassels.
Each color is different and makes it fun!
And you’re done.
This would be a really cute teacher’s gift! I can always use a pouch. You can be extra boujee and throw some fun things in it, as well – from gift cards to jewelry and more!
Perfect for a pencil / art supplies pouch…
Holding jewelry for travel…
Or make up too.
My daughter can even use it for stashing personal items at school in lockers, and more.
The perfect, easy little DIY little gift idea!
So as always, let us know if you use it or make one. We’d love to hear. And be sure to check out Julie’s cute post, too!
Have an inspired day!
