dining al fresco with waverly inspirations

When we were invited to be a part of the Waverly Inspirations Network, we were more than thrilled to team up for of a fun series of posts.

It’s kind of like a challenging game, where every few months, the fabulous people at Waverly send us some of their products, with a theme in mind. And we create something based on that theme. Could this be any more right up our alley? :: Said in best Chandler voice:: And this months theme? The beach! Our mission: The fun vibes of summer, and the look in decor. We were in.

Not to mention, their fabrics are so gorgeous, they practically make it easy on us. So when we opened our box, this is what the inside contained:

Such a pretty, bright array of color and pattern! So we quickly put our heads together and decided something that definitely channeled the vibes of a beach-y summer, would be dining alfresco. ‘Tis the season, after all. We don’t live near a beach {the one downside to relocating to TN} but we do have the very next best thing in our back yard… our pool.

So here’s what we came up with:

A little something that infused all these fun, colorful vibes in a great way to bring a tabletop to life. And in a practical way that we could use, to entertain.

Bring on all the color.

So I whipped up a patchwork table runner with lots of color and fun vibes for a stunning, easy centerpiece.

And some handmade napkins, as well.

What do we love the most about this easy little tablescape? Everything seen can be found at Walmart.

That’s right. I’m serious. I for real had no idea you could get the awesome Waverly brand at Walmart. Say what?!

And those adorable dishes, and goblets, too!

So I decided to integrate the ribbons in a simple way, with some sweet little place holder tags.

We’ll be back next week to talk about the how to for this easy peasy runner – but today we thought we’d just leave you with a little inspiring eye candy. Nothing makes us happier than simple but oh so pretty table scapes for any season – so we were thrilled to start out with something so fun!

We’re having a blast entertaining in the back yard – even if there are no toilets just yet- ha!
