One of our most popular / most requested / most asked for {besides the planner} element of a post is here. It’s so simple, it’s almost silly. But we thought such a monumental occasion deserves a post of it’s own. With all things pandemic, combined with the time of the year, there has been a surge in completed handmade hideaways. We’re loving all the things our awesome readers have shared with us. You guys are amazing.
You get a hideaway, and you get a hideaway… you all get hideawaysssss!
Nothing makes us happier than checking out the hashtags on instagram:

A few notes about this list:
We still had supply lists available, just at the beginning of each post. But the official complete supply list for 2.0 is here. We think this makes people feel better. We can all rest easy now. ;}
Where are the prices? We originally published one for Hideaway 1.0, with prices included. But that was seven years ago now, and we realized that’s kinda irrelevant based on where you live and the time of year and… we built 2.0 three years ago. Prices have already changed.
For what it’s worth, we were also verbally assaulted via social media when people couldn’t believe that we didn’t build it for free like magical elves carving our way through the woodland landscape. Sharon was Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. Good times. In short, we didn’t find price listing to be accurate. So the easiest way to do it is by listing supplies here, so sweet readers may get a great quote. And we thought it would help since there have been so many recently constructed ones by such amazing people.
We’ll be adding this to our other posts, with the link so that it’s easier to access… but we thought it worth mentioning here so that those who are interested could get busy constructing all the things!
You’ll find all the details in each post, with complete instructions.
We don’t have plans because this is how we’re able to keep it free for all. :} Thanks for understanding.
Happy building, and as always let us know if you have any questions. And be sure to check out the ultimate treehouse guide here, in case you have absolutely no idea what we’re talking about.
Or don’t. Either way, now you know where it is.
Have an inspired day!
I apologize if this has been posted somewhere already, but I was wondering what the dimensions are of yours? Just rough, ie 10×12. We’re planning to build with yours as inspo this spring!
Hey! It’s 10 x 12 ;D Happy building!
Thanks so much for sharing the plans to hideaway. We like yours so much we are replicating it, even down to the colors on the floor. Question: What size/qty Tuftex panels did you use and did you cut them down? {I found 2.17′ x 8′ panels but calculated that the overhang would be ~2.3′} Again, thanks so much.
Hey, how fun, so glad you are getting the chance to build it. Yes we used that size panel, as for the overhang, I don’t remember how big it was, but we did want it a little longer to protect the inside from rain more.
