Planner and home nerds unite. I’m going out on a real limb here, but I’m willing to bet that if you read our site, there’s like a 97.999 percent chance you just may be both. So today, I’m about to rock your world.
I mean, you know we love our planners around here, and all things home. So we figured this little book may be just right up your alley. This one is almost as if the two came together, got married, and had their first {idyllic, dream} baby. Because The DIY Home Planner is our new favorite thing from our friend Karianne of Thistlewood Farms.
You know that feeling when you were little, and you went to the book fair at school flipping through pages and oogling books on shelves until you chose the most amazing, gorgeous one there? I may or may not have been the one who also loves the smell of books, so ignore me if I’m getting weird. But it’s almost like you picked the best one off the shelf. Because not only is it a thoughtful, well-assembled read, but *bonus*! It’s filled with stickers and tear outs and other goodies.
This is the DIY Home Planner, except for adults.
If you’ve ever been at that place in your life where you needed a little hand holding in creating a space, {don’t we all?} it’s almost like your best friend just arrived to hand you a great little {spiffy!} manual full of the entire breakdown with everything you need to know. It’s all to help inspire, get you started, and polish it all off in a way that only you can.
The DIY Home Planner is chock-full of illustrated beauty, gorgeous graphs, and awesome photography.
We love that it’s really a step by step guide for creating your own spaces, with room for your own ideas once you’ve garnered inspiration from the pages.
Karianne breaks it down with helpful tips for anyone who may be a little curious about certain words or terms. That way, you totally know what you’re talking about when you visit the home improvement store.
Or the convo comes up over coffee with friends, because that too.
We love that this little book breaks it down, step by step, in an almost formulaic way to help anyone who’s ever been a little hesitant to dive right in. It’s like a sweet push of inspiration with room for your amazing ideas all in one place.
Have we mentioned how gorgeous the art is? It even has a place in the back with fun tear outs. Yes, please!
They’re like a little dose of encouragement to add to your space!
So, for anyone who’s ever been a little hesitant or unsure of where to start, or for anyone who loves gorgeous books and planners and all things organization… this is for you.
Scoop it up today, and you can stay up late with your color coded pencils and markers, with all your planning ’til your heart’s content… and thank us later. ;}
But here’s the fun news!
One lucky duck winner will score a copy of The DIY Home Planner + this awesome 100 dollar gift certificate to Kirkland’s + some Frog Tape goodies!
WHAT!?
Just follow the stuff below to enter – and the winner will be shared here at the top of our post, soon!
As always, thanks for dropping by. And be sure to check out her awesome planner!
As always, let us know if you try it. We’d love to hear!
Have an inspired day!

I will be retiring in 2 years. I am looking for ideas on how to make my house comfortable and inviting for my retirement years. I have raised 3 kids and 7 grandchildren in this home and it now looks nothing like how I want my home to be. It looks like it’s been through a major war or catastrophe. I am looking for ways to make it look like “me”.
I work as a QA tech in a tea company and test taste tea all day. I also have a small Etsy scrapbook art business that I do on the side for now and hopefully, make it a supplemental income after I retire.
I will welcome any ideas you have to offer.
Thanks,
Lorraine
