I’m always losing my keys. It’s a thing with me. That, and my phone and my laptop and my coffee/water. {I’m really fun!} The entire family is merciless with our running joke. “Mom lost her phone again. Someone call it.” Sometimes, I find my coffee in the microwave the next day. Good intentions died and stuff. Sometimes, I’m scrambling to find said keys and they’re already in my bag. They’re just too small to grab. So today we’re sharing how to make this easy beaded keychain bracelet.
You can make these in plenty of fun sizes, easy to grab in a bag, or small enough for your wrist. They also make a really fun gift idea, and tweens/teens will love them, too.
All the fun, colorful assortments!
Easy beaded keychain bracelet: what you’ll need
So the possibilities with these are fun and endless. I know I have more craft supplies than the average bear, but chances are you already have most of what you need. In addition to the beads, some of these were made from old necklaces. Others were made from ready-made bracelets. Here’s what you’ll need:
• Wire or elastic of some sort – I went for a thin copper wire, in a sturdier option.
• Wire cutters or scissors
• beads of any kind – some of these were old necklaces
• keychain parts of any kind
• tassels
First, Take your wire to any size, along with your beads and string them on.
Cut your wire to size once you’re happy with the amount of beads.
Next, Before you close up the loop, add your keychain. We simply added ours to the beads.
Add any tassels or anything else to the keychain.
Finally, close it up by looping the wire around. When it’s closed, trim it up, and conceal it in between the beads.
Note: It helps to tuck the wire into the beads so the wire doesn’t poke, if you’re using wire.
Or if you’re using elastic, make sure it’s secured.
Tada! You’re all done.
These make such a fun gift idea! I love that you can custom- make any pattern or color.
Hopefully I won’t lose my keys all the time anymore. One can hope. Or just attach a tracking device.
As always, let us know if you try them. We’d love to hear.
Have an inspired day!
