We’re going pretty minimal with Christmas this year, since {hopefully} we’ll be traveling around the holidays. Honestly, it’s just one less thing to stress over for us, in the middle of running a design business + our own build too. But this little idea is definitely one of our faves, and something we created a few years ago. When I was breaking out a few of the essentials to decorate with, I realized I’d never shared a how-to for this one. And it’s oh so easy, why wouldn’t I? So without further ado, how to create an easy diy bell garland!
These little bells are just the happiest, and have the best patina. They also make the best sound. Like Santa could come down the chimney any minute, and this is an excellent handmade alarm system… or something. Go with it.
I even kept our portrait over our fireplace for Christmas a-la Light By Iris because it just felt appropriately festive.
With a little faux greenery + some ornaments, we added in our angel wings and a few glass Christmas trees for little accents, too. We’re definitely going for less is more this year.
It really is so ridiculously simple to make these, here’s what you’ll need:
Tie them on little loops as you go, and add them around your home just about anywhere!
Maybe it’s a little silly to share this, but with the craziness of everything around me, sometimes it’s all about those happy little things. And I could use the happy little things right now.
We’re all about less is more with shoots of greenery and little punches of color.
All around a cozy fire, of course.
What are some of your favorite happy little things for the holidays that you’re doing around your home? We’d love to hear!
Have an inspired day!
Totally amazing. I love this diy bell garland. Thanks for sharing
