handmade savvy saturday
I would be lying if I didn’t say I’ve been in a bit of an overwhelmed funk. We are almost totally settled,{keyword, almost when it comes to a never-ending list}, but I’ve still felt “off.” So going to the garden center this week + the flea market, did help a little. Cue the tears to Jamin: “Oh no, if only I had some flowers and some vintage findssssss!” but honestly? It worked. One small backyard garden, an antique stereoscope circa the late 1800’s + a large vintage pickle crock to hide my short curtains because the trim was tricky, {all for great bargains} and I’m feeling much more at home. I’m finding this time of year a little hard to shake off when it comes to our old home, and I can’t wait to share a little new house tour with all of you soon. In the meantime, work and life are carrying on as usual with a daughter in her senior year, and I’m just trying to keep up with everyday life and client projects. It’s been so crazy that I kind of forgot that we need to help our oldest move out of his dorm in a week and a half. If I’m being totally honest, that made me want to throw up a little. Of course, we will always help our kids; it’s just that I never want to move anyone anywhere again. At this rate, I’m cool with not designing and building our next home as originally planned. Mama is TIRED. So, without further ado… here are a few things you may have missed on the handmade home in the last few weeks… because we haven’t really posted + I’m really looking forward to getting back to it…
