This projet is one of the easiest we’ve ever taken on. So easy, that we were a little embarrassed to share it with you. But then we thought, well… someone just may like our little idea. It’s either that, or we really need to get out more.
Probably the latter.
I fell in love with these turkish towels, and this fabulous purple color for our bathroom…
And I’ve been piecing together the bedding for our new bedroom reveal.
I was looking around for a great lumbar pillow to pair with some pillows at the head of the bed… and then I realized maybe I should get back to my roots.
This was the perfect size for our king sized bed the first time around… and we still love it.
So this time, we went with this simple pairing. A good old fashioned body pillow + turkish towel.
I simply flipped the towel inside out, and matched up the edges.
Straightening it out, I pinned it down.
And ran it through our sewing machine, careful to match up those stripes where the sides met.
When it was done, I simply stuffed… keeping the seam on the bottom.
And tada!
Yes, it will go in our bedroom, but it was currently filled with three sleepy children who had commandeered the bed in order to watch a little Paw Patrol. That, and we wouldn’t want to give too much away. Hashtag ourspacewasamessandthiswaseasier.
We love the relaxed feel it gives for an infusion of global color. I can’t wait to layer it with the other fun fabrics we’ve picked out!
Bonus points if you can spot where we’re keepin in real with the army man casualty. {Read: I didn’t see it until I was getting ready to write this} He was on a mission.
Sometimes the unexpected materials are the best! You could do this with any combo (just check your measurements of your pillow/towel before you purchase) the possibilities are endless!
Have an inspired day!

Man down! đ Poor army guy đ Love the lumbar pillow. Been crushing on those Turkish towels for a while and finally decided to bite the bullet and ordered 4, in different colors from the Esty shop you got yours from (I checked your ladder post). Great sale going on now, figured why not, if it’s something that I will use and it will make me happy, I’m going for it. Plus, we’re headed into some HHH (hazy, hot and humid) weather up here in the Northeast for the rest of the week, so fast drying, soft towels would be kinda sweet. Have an amazing day!
