If any of you have been following along on our crazy adventure here for a while, then you know that I’m obsessed, and have been for a very long time, with the Nashville Flea Market.
It’s my happy place.
And if you don’t know about the Nashville flea market, I’m here today to share a hidden gem with you. Because honestly, I’m kind of surprised by how many locals and friends don’t know much about it.
Venturing to the Nashville Flea Market is one of my very favorite things on a Friday morning, before the crowds get too crazy. They carry one of a kind finds and vintage lovelies from all across the nation, and have so many great treasures.
They’ve recently relocated the entire thing to a new venue. It’s in the same area, but a new build. So in between that and all things Covid, my very favorite local thing to do was shut down for the better part of a year. It was the thing I missed the most. It’s slowly but surely opening back up, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
From their facebook page: The Nashville Flea Market has been a Nashville tradition since 1969. It’s open the 4th weekend of every month except December, on the 3rd weekend.
Yes, please.
We even found our windows from our home at the Nashville Flea Market!
I just thought I should share about it here. Just in case you live locally, or visit sometimes and don’t even know about such an amazing thing. Because it’s quite possibly one of my very favorite things. I’ve had quite a history of some amazing finds over the last few years. I’m even a little superstitious about it.
This filing cabinet? The Nashville flea market.
There’s even that one time that I walked by and saw the sleeve of a jersey and pulled it out… War Eagle + it totally came home with me. Vintage clothes for the win.
But a friend and I braved our way into the crowds on Friday, and came back with quite a few treasures!
So I wanted to share a few of our awesome finds today… and a little more of a sneak peek into what you can really find there.
Vintage pendants? Check. {Good prices compared to the ones you’ll find online for 75+ bucks? Check.}
Reclaimed wood for any project you can think of at fair prices? Check.
Am I going to keep naming the piece and then saying check after it? Check.
I’m kind of a magpie, though… I’m drawn to anything that sparkles.
We even found these sweet knobs for a space we’re working on, and I love bringing in that one of a kind, eclectic look.
Their selection of paint by number vintage art, and amazing pieces like this is outstanding. This one might be one that got away. It was huge and glorious in real life.
And then there are a ton of adorable, subtle finds, just like these little tea sets.
Old cabinets, perfect for my dream artist’s studio loft that I plan to build one day… just for painting. Jamin doesn’t know about it yet.
I also adore a good, vintage fan.
Giant letters that I wish I had a place for… If they’d only had an M…
And vintage bottles galore.
Does anything beat an old quilt? No. No it doesn’t.
OR this record player?
This little horse has seen some stuff. It would be so cool to see him restored. Or in a haunted house for Halloween, living his best life.
But there’s something about the stories these things could tell. I just love the haunting nostalgia of it all. Not to mention the one of kind finds that you just can’t replicate anywhere else.
When we got home, my friend and I laid out our finds! I may or may not have walked away with this giant horse head, and I can’t even tell you why. But I have some fun plans for it! Even if my children thought it was a little intense. And these marbles, if you can’t tell, are legit the size of my palm. Old marbles always have my heart… the rest are kind of equally obvious and amazing.
So what are some of your best flea market finds? What are some that got away? I’d love to hear!
