Today is a vewy special events!
Did you know that today is the fuwst annual national Rigby and Fitz day? It is the official day of our wonderfulmous birthday celebrations!
We do not know who makes those special calendars that are now officially over the top with vague holidays and stuffs but in the name of oversaturated hashtags, we decided we needed our own days. So hewe it is, magical calendar makers!
We awe a year old! See? We are having a pawties and everythings!
We love bawking and chewing and jumping and sniffing and playing and snuggling. Being alive is pwetty awesome. The humans said this is a celebwation of that just for us.
It’s so special, the fuwst one is on a Friday, and the humans get two whole days off work!
You awe welcomes.
Today is the first time we have been able to celebrate such a fantastical occasion!
The human pawents did it rights, because they said that’s how they rolls and then called themselves “those peoples” but we awe so glad that they awe those peoples. Mowe fun for useses!
And they gave us special little cakes that they made and everythings. Today, we thought we would share it, because it even has homemade peanut butter fwosting and is our very favorite in the history of all things we have evuhs puts in the mouths.
Or the mouths ons.
Or the mouths next tos.
We has tasted a lot of the things. Twust us.
We’ll let the humans tell you want you needs, we wuz too busy eatings the things to pay attention, our lack of self control doesn’t make use vewy good cooks. Hewe you gos!
(As with all things food, we consulted our vet before giving these home made treats to our pet. We wanted to share the recipe here today because recipes are fun. However, different owners have various concerns based on their own pet’s needs. We get it. If your pet has allergies to any ingredients listed, or if you’re worried, please use your discretion, and consult your own vet, first.)
Here is what you’ll need: • Peanut butter • 1 chicken breast • 1 egg • vegetable oil • honey • vanilla • milk • baking soda • whole wheat • cream cheese
Start by cooking and shredding your chicken, we boil ours. Then in a large bowl mix together 1 egg, 1/8 c vegetable oil, 1/3 cup honey, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup milk and 1/4 cup of water.
Once it is mixed well, add in the shredded chicken and 1 cup of whole wheat. We cooked ours in a whoopie pan on 350 for 10 mins. These were the perfect size for little treats you can break up with your hand. If you cook a bigger cake, you’ll just need to adjust the time and temp.
While the cakes were cooling, we whipped up the frosting.
Simply use 1 package of cream cheese, 1 cup of peanut butter and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. In a medium, microwave-safe bowl: soften the peanut butter and cream cheese. Then mix it all together. To get a creamy, smooth mixture, you will want to add water as you mix until you gain the desired consistency.
The little humans wanted in on the baking action, and even helped fwost it and then asked if they could try somes.
It was just as much fun for them, tos. This is because we awe funs.
Isn’t that specials? We got a nice plate and evewythings! The humans did not light the candles because they thought we might eats it. Or fweaks outs.
Or pwobably boths.
So we just pwetended and stuffs.
Safety fuwst, suwkas.
It was twue delectable goodnesses.
Fitz weally could not handle all of the cakes.
Weally. She got so exciteds we thought she may have fallen ovuhs or lost the bladduh contwols or gotten some weal googley eyes or somethings.
And then the parents took it away befowe we made ouwselves sicks. They were supervising so be weally careful about the size you give youw puppies so it doesn’t get stuck in the mowths or necks. We mainly just licked, and then ate in smaller pieces.
But it was wowth every minutes.
Yums and stuffs.
Happy National Rigby and Fitz day/Birfdays to useses!
Have a wonduwful holiday!
Until next time… #rigbyandfitz
