It’s that time of the year again, where we’re on the very verge of spring, and just like everyone else, we’re feeling kinda hopeful about the fresh year ahead. We’re more than excited to get our hands dirty in a much-overdue series of projects for the yard. We actually kicked off the process by getting outdoors last week, and let our succulents and indoor plants have a little fresh air, along with cleaning off the porch area for beginning the process of all things projects. We’re getting our upcoming to-do list squared away, and are ready to highlight a few of the fun outdoor ideas we have planned this spring with Greenworks Tools. So today, we thought we’d share our list along with some things we have planned! Our favorite Greenworks tools for Spring!
We ventured to the local home improvement store the other day, and just couldn’t help ourselves in the floral department. We’ll have to babysit them a little if a cold snap comes along, but color in the back yard always does a heart good, to get us through to warmer temperatures.
Last year when the world shut down, it became a big {unintentional} season for all things backyard, and a great little therapy project for us. We expanded it all with a fence on our one acre property {full tutorial coming your way!} and also built a full on cabana after expanding our porch area + building privacy walls. Now, we’re ready to kick it up a notch, and we’ve divided our projects into zones with breaking it all down. Here’s a little of what we have planned.
1. Yardwork
Of course that one has to come first. A large yard waking up from a long winter’s nap, can kind of be a hot mess, and we’re more than happy to get to work with all the awesome Greenworks Tools in our ever-growing arsenal.
As always, we love that their tools are kinder to the environment, running on rechargeable batteries instead of gas. So we appreciate that there’s less pollution, including noise, and our neighbors probably appreciate that, too. Their mower, blower, string trimmer, chainsaw and more are trusted tools for a job well done, and our automatic go-to. Our kiddos are also old enough now to pitch in, and it’s so much easier to teach them with lighter, easier-to-handle tools.
Total side note, but Their mower is so satisfying to use. The kids fight over who basically gets to make the grass disappear {sometimes the great debate is with me because it’s so therapeutic}, and their batteries make it simple and more affordable to switch out in between working with various tools. We love them so!
2. Outdoor area maintenance
It’s clean up time! Once that pollen hits, everyone knows that cleanup has to happen before anyone can entertain or enjoy the great outdoors. Outdoor areas can require lots of maintenance, and the best way to conquer it, is to have a good set of tools on hand. So from the pressure washer, to the blower, and even the Greenworks wet/dry vac, {which is a hybrid and oh so handy to use on all these spaces} it’s the perfect way to keep it all cleaned up. Besides all things maintenance, we definitely have some continued plans for the cabana.
• shelves for that cabana closet – It felt as though we finished the cabana this past year, and then fall hit. So we just wanted to enjoy it. Well, as it turns out, we still have that closet to organize, and design a system for the inside. We were thrilled this past year when Greenworks released their first power tools which were also perfect for the job. So we’ll be busy coming up with a system, for floats, chemicals and more.
• outdoor storage – Furniture covers are a must for outdoor furniture, but where do you put them when not in use? Basically, we’re tired of throwing them in our yard because tacky. So stay tuned for a little solution of sorts for that, as well as some bike storage we have up our sleeves for the kids. No, we weren’t kidding when we said we had quite the list.
Their saw, drill, and sander are the perfect tools for the job. Oh and did we mention how much we adore their new work lights? While we have great access to electricity in our own cabana, the work light is perfect when you need a little more for working, after hours. It’s a new personal fave.
3. Gardening
After losing our tree this winter, we plan to plant even more fresh green babies around the house, and of course, my little wildflower garden I do every year.
But this next year, we want to take on our own little veggie garden. We’re starting our seeds now, and hope to have better luck than we have in the past. {Any tips you can give us below for organic pest control are MORE than welcome!} What I’m currently obsessed with is this fabulous self-propelled garden cart from Greenworks that makes hauling a cinch around the yard, and their amazing tiller. –Because who wants to do that manually? It’s still a great workout, with a little help.
We’re so thrilled to get started on all the little things! It’s going to be a fun year in the yard.
Total side note, but we loved tackling this recycling and gardening center on the backside of our home this year, with Greenworks Tools. It’s fun being green!
So what’s something you’re tackling in the yard this spring?
And what are some of your favorite Greenworks Tools for tackling those projects around the yard?
We’d love to hear!
Have an inspired day!
