Last fall, in late August, we took a trip {a-la the Beverly Hillbillies} to Cali. It was still in the blaring heat of summer and that afternoon we’d taken in the sights and sounds of Beverly Hills. At dinner, we found ourselves in a beautiful restaurant meeting up with friends. We’d shown up so early {since we were still on all things central time} so the space was still completely empty.
I’m the dork who was so smitten, she broke out her phone and took a few photos.
I’m now sorry that I didn’t tote around my gigantic Canon should an opportunity arise, but I’m still glad to have them anyway.
I stumbled upon said {previously forgotten} photos this week when I was searching for something else. I guess it’s because the ground outside was actually covered in a nice combo of green grass and snow this morning in Nashville, (please hurry up Spring) that I thought it would be fun to share.
It was one of those spaces that left me feeling inspired. Have you ever stumbled upon a space like this?
Almost as if someone took all the ideas out of your head unbeknownst to you, and made it come to life. Yes suddenly, I wish I didn’t in fact struggle with all things green thumb, and that I’m a horticultural designer {that title sounded fancy – I have no idea what the official title would be} in California.
I definitely have a major bout of spring fever, and thought you just may enjoy the photos, too.
Slightly foggy Iphone-6 inspired, or no.
This space had the perfect combo of eclectic furnishings, bright colors, and gorgeous blooms to make it just right over the top of amazing. And I officially have spring fever. How about you?
I want to pull up a seat and enjoy.
You’d never know there was a bustling main street right on the other side of the wall.
It felt like a literal secret garden.
In our entire house rehab, we’ve concentrated so much on the inside that we’re thrilled to start on a little much-needed landscaping this spring. We’re not all in just yet {because we have a really fun and new project coming up our sleeves for our back yard} but we did find this oh so inspiring.
And I thought you would, too.
We’re still smitten, and want to go back to see all the lovely touches they’ve installed this year. These are actually bags draped over the wall for the little plants to sit in! I don’t know about you but our wheels are turning.
Don’t you just love it?
So all you gardeners out there, what’s your favorite thing to work on in the spring? Do you have a full blown veggie garden? Or do you stick to flowers?
OR, do you plant tomatoes really late in the season and then totally forget about them until the first frost, and come inside with 60 off the vine? Good times. Good times.
I mean, ::awkward throat clearing:: I never did that.
We’d love to hear your thoughts. And a few tips on all things gardening and landscaping!
Have an inspired day!

That secret garden looks so nice. But those individual pots alllllll have to be watered! Good Luck with your gardening endeavors! My grandson and husband are assembling my newest self-watering planter. Now if the weather would just warm up so I can start on my plants!
