It’s that time of year again, where the green in our yard is starting to sprout through. We couldn’t be happier about it, but that means it’s time to begin our annual campaign for all things curb appeal. Slowly but surely, we’ve been whipping our once abandoned yard for our little fixer upper house into shape.
We still have some big things on our list, but just whipping the yard into shape can make a huge difference.
Enter this little guy. The Greenworks Pro lawnmower is my new favorite yard tool.
He’s kind of awesome. So awesome, that we made a little video about how amazing he is, right here.
With our yard {and we’ll be sharing more of this in the future} we sit on an acre lot. So we have a ride on for a lot of that. But we also have a beat up old fence that goes around our pool. It’s a decent size section that makes it kind of tough to get into with the large and in charge ride on mower and the awkwardly small gates. So, our pool section always needs a little help. It can get tricky, since we don’t want to throw grass in the pool. This awesome lawnmower doesn’t chunk grass and debris halfway across the yard. Winning.
I volunteer to ride sometimes, but honestly, push lawnmowers have always been a big first-world prob hassle for me. Too heavy. Kind of intimidating. A great workout, but annoying, nonetheless. And they’re always loud, too. {Yes, I sound so dangerously authentic right now.}
This little guy kind of rocks our faces off. He has a simple little battery pack, so there’s no gross {not-good-for-the-environment} gasoline issue. And he starts with a simple push of the button. So no chains to yank or parts to break and That he’s really {RIDICULOUSLY} quiet. Guess who doesn’t have to mow their lawn in the day?
I mow my lawn mower at night… {cue ear worm}.
A lady posted on our neighborhood app the other day that she was sick of people mowing their lawns really early in the mornings a-la 7 am. {AMEN- people are so clueless} and then she complained about Sunday afternoons. I was with her until she said Sunday afternoons. I mean, that’s obviously what Saturday and Sundays are for, amirite?
Either way, she can calm down if everyone gets one of these puppies. No more grumpy disgruntled neighbors over lawnmowers. Problem solved.
Which is why we are excited about this giveaway!
Greenworks tools is graciously hosting a giveaway, along with Thistlewood Farms, LollyJane, Love and Renovations, French Country Cottage, and My Sweet Savannah.
Three lucky people are going to win $300 each towards Greenworks tools of their choosing! All the details on how to do that are below. But first, a little about my love for these tools. Because they offer an entire line of yard tools.
We love that these tools are built for everyone to use. This spring, we plan to hand down a lot of the yardwork to our kiddos. They’re finally old enough. These tools make it perfect because they’re not so intimidating.
Greenworks tools are truly built for the family. Lightweight and easy to operate, they allow the entire family to get involved. All of their designs are corded or battery operated. That means there is no issue for people mixing gas correctly, spillages, or any of the other hassles that come with potentially overwhelming gas-powered tools.
Greenworks tools are friendly to the environment, which is a major plus when cutting down on greenhouse gases. It’s already a difficult thing to do.

I’ve been looking at battery powered mowers and was wondering how well they cut. I have a decent size yard, unde half an acre. How do you think it would work or is that to big? Also, how well does it handle taller grass. I hate mowing and may or may not skip a week sometimes.

I think it would work perfectly. I used it around our pool which had some pretty high grass from the winter and it worked wonderfully. It has a brushless motor which amps up the power when needed and dials it back when it doesn’t. For something under a half acre I think it would be perfect. It can handle up to an acre and there is also a 80v version. I hope this helps you make your choice, but we love the Greenworks mower!
