We love this time of year and all the parties, with all the fun new recipes to try out. We had the joy of spending time with friends yesterday who made some amazing beer cheese dip and wings that would knock your momma’s socks off. {Don’t judge, it’s a southern phrase.}
So when Nabisco and Publix asked us to partner with them to share their ultimate party planner site, we were all in. Who doesn’t love fun new recipes? You may remember these two easy party recipes we shared…
Today, we wanted to share two more great recipes.
We love these because they are so super simple and easy to make. We had these delightful little snacks ready to serve in under 30 minutes. And the best part? The only thing we didn’t have in the pantry or fridge was the jalapeno.
Here is what you’ll need to make the ham and swiss spicy jamwiches™:
• 3 TBSP seedless strawberry jam • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise • 1 tsp finely chopped jalapeno peppers • 12 thin slices of Swiss cheese • 72 RITZ™ crackers • 1/2 pound thin deli sliced Honey Ham.
And here is what you’ll need to make the apple cheddar melts:
• 1/2 cup sugar • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon • 1 red delicious apple • 1 granny smith apple • 8 oz slices of extra sharp cheddar cheese • 40 Triscuit™ crackers
You can cook these two together so start by pre-heating the over to 350 degrees.
So that the apples don’t turn brown before you cook them, start with the jamwiches™ first.
Start mixing together the jam, jalapeno and mayo. Then cut your cheese and ham slices into fourths. Now simply lay out your crackers on a baking tray and cover them with swiss.
Then cover half of those crackers with a ham slice rolled unto a cone. You’ll bake these for 2-3 minute at 350 degrees. Once they are baked simple put a little of the jam mixture on the ham slice and cover with one cracker with only swiss on it.
To prepare the apple cheddar melts, Start by mixing the sugar and cinnamon, slice your cheese and then cut your apple into slices. Now simply lay out your Triscuits™, place an apple slice on them, and cover the apple with a slice of cheese. Sprinkle some of the sugar mixture over top of them. You will bake these for 4-5 minutes at 350 degrees.
We cooked ours together, so we put the apple cheddar melts in the oven first, set the timer for 2 minutes and when the timer went off we put the jamwiches™ in and set the timer for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
They were a perfect little treat and a big hit!
Make sure to check out the ultimate party planner site for some more fun easy recipes to entertain with during the holiday season like the Triscuit™ pull a part pizza. A super simple recipe you can make by lining up 24 fire roasted tomato and olive oil Triscuits™ crackers on a baking pan, in a rectangle. Cover them crackers with a prepared spinach dip and some broccoli, top half of them with plum tomatoes and about a 1/4 cup of mozzarrella cheese. Cover the other half with about 2 1/2 cups of Italian sausage and a Tbsp of fresh parmesan. Cook for 10 mins at 400. Then sprinkle basil over the tomato covered half and drizzle olive oil over the other half. Amazing!
Also don’t forget get to print the great coupons on the site!
What are some of your easy, go to recipes? We have lots of gatherings to attend and have to get to it with some ideas-Have an inspired day!
