Happy Handmade Savvy Saturday! I’m a little late getting this one up this am, because of a lazy morning. It would have been even later, had a psychotic robin who likes to fly into all of our windows on the daily, not woken us up. Apparently, they’re being territorial and think their reflection is another bird. He flits from the laundry room to the hallway, to my side of the bed, to Jamin’s, then the bathroom windows and back again. It’s like being pelted with bean bags against the window early in the morning. This has been going on for weeks now, and honestly, you think he would have caught on. {Side eye} I just caught the little psycho for the twentieth time on our ring camera as I type this.
Can I help you, sir? At first I felt sorry for him, thinking he just ran into the window. Then I read on the internets that we’re supposed to build giant nets and put in front of said windows. I can’t decide which is more annoying: the fact that I’m supposed to invest the time and money to build giant nets, or the fact that the bird is kinda dumb and I really feel like this is his problem. Usually we’re all, “Yay birds,” but between the front porch nest that basically had me rerouting visitors and babysitting the darn things so no babies were lost, to this… and another nest in the back and the side of the house in my planters… We’re bird-ed out. GOOD STORY. On to the good stuff!
