The weather outside is frightful. But the fire is so delightful… Yes, I know. Christmas is over, and that was shameless. But any time it’s cold and rainy out, all I can think of is that song. And how much I want spring to be here since I’m such a warm weather girl. We’ve had a few teasers in warmer days, but since it’s not, we can at least enjoy a nice, toasty fire. And today, we wanted to talk about how to build a super easy, perfect indoor fire with Duraflame.
You may remember our last post with Duraflame where we demonstrated what outside fun we’d been having this past Fall. We absolutely love the ease with which we can build a fire with friends and family gathered around.
So while we were at a friend’s house the other day {you may remember this renovation here} with cold rainy weather, we decided to break out the Duraflame logs. And it was absolutely perfect.
The thing we love the most about Duraflame, is that they make it so simple to build a nice, warm, rolling fire.
We simply placed it in their wood burning fireplace, alone. It was all we needed. No extra wood, no poking or turning wood, nothing.
Great for a hassel free fire.
So here’s a few tips for building that perfect fire:
Simply place the Duraflame log in the fireplace, on a supportive grate, toward the back of the fireplace.
Next, gently pull along the bottom of the wrapper to loosen it, and then light along the arrows at the bottom of the packaging.
We love that this is all you need, it’s all natural, and you can enjoy a nice warm natural fire in five minutes. Plus it burns 80% cleaner than wood and burns for so much longer.
#winning!
Isn’t it amazing how a nice warm fire can unite friends and families. To us, it’s one of the best ways to unwind, gather and enjoy just being. Especially when the weather has been so yucky.
Sweet Como was certainly drawn to the fire and how warm it was!
Can she be any cuter?
Be sure to give Duraflame a try on your next fire building extravaganza! It makes everything so simple, we love the way it all works!
Have you tried Duraflame? As always, let us know if you do. We’d love to hear! ‘Tis the season… so make a nice warm fire for your loved ones!
Have an inspired day!

After a good solid cleaning and a new exterior chimney and cap, we lit a fire in our centuries-old fireplace this winter (we had closed it up after having kids but I really REALLY missed the ambiance so I badgered my husband into getting the fireplace up to snuff). We use wood from our property, but when we want a quick, easy gorgeous fire, we rely on Duraflame too! My girls love it and I’m so happy we brought our fireplace back.

It was so nice to see your pet dog sitting close to fire trying to warm himself up(or her?). Duraflame seems to be a nice and environment friendly alternative to wood.
