Spring is in the air, and it’s the beginning of our favorite season: Grilling Season.
We really think it should be an official thing, on a calendar and stuff.
So we decided to make a really big claim in our title: The Very Best Grilled Hamburgers in the History of Ever.
Yes, we take this kinda stuff very seriously. It’s how we roll.
Take that Fred Flintstone and your famous Brontosaurus burgers. {We never lost faith… we always knew they were real, y’all. The dino, not the burgers. Just kidding. Actually, we both never knew they took him away. So now we’re super pumped. It’s the same as the Pluto not being a planet thing. Didn’t they bring that back, too? So. Much. Confusion.}
Trainwreck of thought processing aside: I know. You’re probably all, are they really sharing about hamburgers today? And our answer to that would be, Duh. Wait until you taste them.
They’re slap yo mama good.
The other day we had some fun friends over, and needed an easy impromptu meal to please the masses and whip the grill back into shape. They’re a great little entertainment staple and something easy peasy {for a cheat day, if you must ease your guilt}.
Burgers are so basic and there are a thousand and one ways to cook them.
But we must say, nothing ruins a good burger like dried out patties.
Since it’s the perfect season for the most perfect burgers, we wanted to share with you a magic ingredient to help yours stay super moist. We like to call it “organic apple juice.”
I know fancy name right?
Along with the apple juice we also suggest throwing in a little salt. These two things combined together will help rearrange the proteins in the meat to lock in moisture and give you a mouth watering burger.
Here’s what we use:
• 1lb of lean hamburger meat • 1/4 cup apple juice • 1 TBSP Salt • 1 TBSP pepper
Simply combine all the ingredients, mix them together and make your patties. You’ll have some amazingly moist burgers, and a great party staple. You can even add more spices if you want, but we like to keep them simple and moist.
We topped ours off with slices of pepper jack for a little kick and smoked gouda for a complimentary smooth flavor. We also add some spicy guacamole, spinach and a tomato.
Of course it’s always fun to set it up as a burger bar and let people get creative.
Add your favorite fixins like these sweet potato fries {to ease your conscience, yet oddly canceled out because they are also served with cheese…shhhh} and enjoy!
It’s the kind of quick fixer that has people gathered over honest to goodness simplicity with great conversations. It’s like magic.
You just can’t beat it.
Just in time for the weekend, y’all!
Pssst: You can check out some of our other food loves and tips here.
As always, let us know if you try it. Have an inspired day!
This looks amazing. We are always grilling out so I can’t wait to try this. Apple juice = genius. Guac = super genius!
We just made these today and they were a little salty for our tastes. They did stay super moist though which is tough to make happen with sliders! Thanks for the tip!
