As I’m writing this, I think we’re supposed to have ice again tomorrow, which will be Friday. As in, it will probably just be miserably cold, and then Carol will call, which is the Williamson County school system way of letting us know that school will be canceled. Wheeeee! I offically need a wine glass that says “Carol called”. Because we are READY for spring! {Update: it’s canceled.} In any case, it’s definitely the perfect {bad} weather here for a slower weekend. So, we thought we’d round up 3 easy paint projects to try this weekend!
1. 3 easy paint projects to try this weekend: abstract art
If you’ve been wanting to dive in to a good painting project, but aren’t sure where to begin… start here! This is total therapy from start to finish, so even the “mistakes” are happy accidents. They’re beautiful and a great opportunity to experiment with color.
This easy abstract art was major therapy for me when I thought the world just may end at the beginning of covid, when we had no idea what was happening. It feels good to look back now and appreciate it for what it was at the time. And it’s a great project to take on this weekend, after a quick stop at the craft store for just a few supplies.
2. 3 easy paint projects to try this weekend: Watercolor Banner
I shared this one recently in our Valentine’s round up, because it’s such an easy idea for an instant boost in your home, party or just because. And this watercolor banner is definitely a go to for parties, too! Check out the easy how to here. All you need is a watercolor set, scissors, twine + some coffee filters. Hello, color! We did this for our daughter’s 5th party and I’ll always love it. How is she 14 now? Time flies, y’all.
I also used it again for our Derby Day party last year, amongst other things. Throwback much?
