Because sometimes its still fun to do those random posts…we just got back from the pool and I thought I’d share a little quickie with you. Quickie. Not Quiche. {I may or may not have been on a date freshman year of college when I pronounced Quiche as such when I tried to order dinner. I may or may not have tried desperately to cover that one up. I may or may not have ended up in a heap of stupid laughter because what’s a gal to do in a dorky kinda situation? Nope that’s not the guy I married. Let’s forget I shared that one.}
But this one has become a bit of a hit already this summer, with our guests and friends, and since I am queen of all things sandwiches and dips {Yep. I do wear that title proudly.} I just thought you guys would enjoy this one.
Pull out your average run-o-the mill {required as a southern wedding present} pyrex dish, and layer: sour cream + wholly guacamole {aka my most favoritest food ever} + salsa + shredded cheese. Chill until served, with Lime chips. You can thank me later.
Tada! You have a party.
your mouth will feel like this:
No. not stormy. Happy. and Serendipitous. Like you were previously bummed out and then this made you forgetaboutit. This is a rainbow that randomly appeared in our back yard two nights ago. I half expected Falcor to come flapping out, and be all, “Atreyu! SUP? HOLLA!”
Seriously. Try. It. (If you haven’t already)
And then let me know how much you love it.
I like to make a similar dip, though I usually mix some taco seasoning in with the sour cream for an extra little zing. And I leave out the salsa. You’ll have to try it sometime!
yes, I will!
I must admit I laughed out loud at the NeverEnding Story movie reference. I really wasn’t expecting that. Talk about a blast from the past! Awesome.
Oh, and the dip looks great too!
I love it! You can make it for me anytime…oh yea…you do. Thanks!!
Yummy! I will have to try this one. FYI, you just made me crave guacamole at 9:30 in the morning. 🙂
A delicious hit at “book club” with a yummy glass of strawberry sangria! Perfect! Oh and I had my doubts about the wholly guacamole, but I must say, it was pretty darn good (and a lot easier then trying to find already ripe avocados in northern New York!)!
AWESOME! What a delightful suggestion! 😉
