the beach house project – the porch area

Hello all you fabulous people! It’s been a real joy to share the beach house project over the last month.

{pssst: see the final project here!}

We’re traveling down soon to finish the install and share the fun photography with all of you guys. Since all things covid have slowed us down a bit, we’re thrilled to share one of our jobs we’ve been working on. It will be a nice {safe} reprieve for the kiddos, too. You can see a lot of the befores in that original post, + the second installment of posts, where I was thrilled to share about the living and kitchen areas, here. Last week we covered beds + baths and today we’re wrapping it up in a simple way, with the back porch!

If you remember from the online realtor photos, it looked a little like this:

So we decided to keep it simple, and bring in some fun details!

Table + chairs: We love this take on an outdoor table for the perfect gathering spot. Paired with these chairs for a nice dining area.

Rug: We chose this rug for a great shot of color

Rockers: Because every porch needs a good rocking chair

Hooks: You may remember them from our back porch redo, here. They’re perfect for all things towel holding.

Lights: Because cafe lights give a little more ambience to everything.

Plant stand: perfect for the corner with a little more character + a chance to bring in some awesome accessories.

Accessories: lantern / pillow / lavender plant / spiky plant / boxwood

All this fun beach house talk makes us a bit reminiscent of how far our own home has come. We love making awesome changes for a big impact.

Thanks so much for tuning in, and be sure to check out the other rooms in the series, linked above.

Have an inspired day!
