beach house project: bedrooms and bathrooms

Remember this post where we were thrilled to share about all things beach house project? We’re traveling down soon to finish the install and share the fun photography with all of you guys. Since all things covid have slowed us down a bit, we’re thrilled to share one of our jobs we’ve been working on. It will be a nice {safe} reprieve for the kiddos, too. You can see a lot of the befores in that original post, + the second installment of posts, where I was thrilled to share about the living and kitchen areas. Today, we’re covering all things bedrooms and bathrooms!

{pssst: see the final project here!}

this is a client bedroom from the past – see it here

This project is a great example of how everything doesn’t have to be a total overhaul to make a great impact. And since some of you fabulous people have asked about more of the process, we thought this was a great way to share some of our favorite design ideas from the project. So without further ado, let’s dive in!

First up, the master bedroom.

This is their retreat, and we wanted it to feel like it, from fun art to sweet pieces and cooler tones. We can’t wait to show you what a fun difference all of this makes!

Bed: This bed with a dash of blue adds plenty of character

Side tables: We’re working with lots of their existing pieces from their house – these make great bedside tables

Console table: from their home

Lamps + Shades – from here

Bedding: We adore these for all things cozy beachside vibes layered with this simple duvet + this pillow for a shot of color.

Art: We flanked each window from here + here

Rug: We thought this really helped anchor it all, and love the splash of color

Fan: of course we love Kichler and the easy breezy options it brings into the space

Master bath:

They’re simplifying their cabinets with new colors, and countertops. We also brought in softer colors and accents to make the space a little more them.

Mirrors: We brought in round mirrors to simplify the space. We love opening it up from the standard builder’s grade stuff. Doing something simple like changing out mirrors, can make a big impact in a bathroom.

Lights: Kichler, for the win

Accents: More character with simple pieces – bathmat, towels, art, soap dispenser

Guest Bedroom

This little space is so simple, it just may be our favorite. Tiny but mighty, for guests!

Bed: this bedroom was a tight space, and the bed was the perfect find, {and headboard} to save room on all things dressers, and still offer storage.

Side tables: These make the perfect little addition in a tight space

Bedding: We love the idea of pairing it with this easy bedding, {throw + pillow here} for some hints of color.

Art: how could you not love this happy little octopus?

Fan:  Kichler was the perfect replacement for the space

Rug: This awesome rug not only feels good under foot, but also helped anchor the space.

Curtains: from here.

Bunk Room

We love the idea of practical options for a great kids space. Here are a few of the ideas we came up with.

Beds: Easy bunks from here for lots of options for sleeping kids.

Bedding: Duvets mixed with some from our own collection for bright colorful options + this pillow

Side table: from their home + lamp + hamper

Art: Whale art + this solution for easy hanging

Fan:  Kichler was the perfect replacement for the space

Kids bath:

Again, they simplified the existing vanities so that they look a little more beachy.

Mirror: from our own inventory + lights from here.

Shower curtain from here + fun bath mat

hooks + knobs + accessories + trashcan + additional bath mat + towels
