Father’s Day is little less than a month away {I know, where has the time gone?} and while I {Ashley} usually put together the lists, I’ve called in the pros {Jamin} this time, for his input. Blame it on the covad, blame it on absolute boredom, and it’s probably a little bit of everything. But these are things he’s ordered either for himself or as gifts for others. And all of them are pretty handy, from basic oven mits to water purifiers and torches. We’re coming out of the zombie apocalypse, after all. So without further ado, our favorite father’s day gift ideas he’s guaranteed to love.

1. This amazing little blow torch.
Who knew he needed to burn all the things?
Now his pyromaniac needs are met, and the weeds in this awkward flower bed are definitely dead. Seriously though, this thing is handier than you might think, and sounds like a hot air balloon. Just hook it up to your propane tank and he has hours of entertainment. We’ve now started a good fire pit fire with this, quite a few times. I just need him to not burn down the house, and we’re good. He’s basically weed hunting in the back yard.
Before…
After…
2. Sonos Move
This one hooks up to your other Sonos speakers, and requires zero plugs. It’s also water resistant. Yes, please.
3. Oven Mits
We’ve had the same oven mits since we were married. Just two of them. So sad. One of them eventually burned up, the other had so many holes it was sad and we laid it to rest so it could go on to a better place. They were great for 17 years. These come in a set and are so handy, it’s kind of ridiculous. So yes, we included oven mits on the list. Jamin likes to cook, so we went with handy.
4. Oximeter
We found during the apocalypse, these things are just good to have on hand. I honestly just like to see what my resting heart rate is, and it’s a nice little health gadget to have on hand. From checking your every day rate, to checking in if you get sick {hopefully not} these are perfect for dad, and he’ll appreciate the gesture. We like having ours on hand, for sure.
5. Outdoor Remote Light Switch
We’re adding more lights around the house, and these are perfect for areas near the pool. The only problem is, who wants to plug and unplug all the time after making a nightly walk around the yard at bedtime? These are your answer. Just a simple flip on and off, and it’s got you covered.
6. Egg Poacher
So this one might seem silly, and Jamin actually purchased it for me. But if you have a poached egg lover in your life, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. Get this one now.
Then make this recipe here and because nothing says true love like a good eggs benedict. Or he can make it for you. Whatever works.
7. Water Purifier
I don’t know what to tell you other than Jamin’s an enneagram 7. And this purchase made him extremely happy. It’s basically for when society shuts down and we can drink right out of our pool, while the world burns. Yay.
Seriously though, if he loves camping gear and gadgets, this one’s for him.
8. Greenworks Power Inverter
We basically talked about it earlier this week. It’s so perfect for all things tailgating and more… and if you’ve built a handmade hideaway recently, look no further.
Yes, I did just share a photo of our hideaway with flowers out front for father’s day.
9. Collated Screwdriver
This thing has been the key to the whole fence. Seriously. We couldn’t have built it without it, and planks are easy to move and repair, because of it. Winning, if he needs to add a new tool to his collection.
10. Roto Scrub
Because if you make it fun, he’ll probably scrub the shower more. I can’t decide which I hate more, vacuuming, or scrubbing the shower… also a great gift for kiddos who help clean the house. They’ll be fighting over it.
11. This Tripod
It’s perfectly handy for all things filming. Or something the kids can use. Or a million different reasons… We use it almost daily.
12. Cigars + Whiskey
Jamin calls this the bouquet for dad. I think I agree. Check out all their packages here.
Bonus: Cadbury Eggs. Because we can. All year long, I think. Yay ten pounds.
So what’s your favorite idea for father’s day? We’d love to hear. Have an inspired day!
