When our awesome clients asked us for a little help with their bathroom design, we were more than happy to comply. This is a shot of their before, which has an awesome layout. But they were ready for an update.
This space is a little bit of a testimony to the fact that sometimes, you don’t really have to move anything around, when it comes to a renovation.
Just make it look awesome, instead.
This space has been on a journey, and traveled such a long way from the before! The bathroom already had a great layout with his and her vanities. It was ready for a refresh.
Yes, that is a peek of amazing wallpaper in the toilet room.
It added just a little punch of something and looks oh so good!
It’s all about those details.
These custom designed vanities were perfect because they allowed for extra space in the room, in just the way that they needed. Bye, old cabinets. Drawers with divided areas for storage, for the win.
The hardware on top practically made the pieces pop. We adore D.Lawless Hardware for a great source when it comes to adding that one of a kind look!
It’s so fresh and clean now!
The drop in shower was replaced with frameless glass, and beautiful Jeffrey Court tile with zero entry. {More on that, below!}
All of the elements came together so seamlessly, in such a beautiful way!
Admittedly, this bath was surprisingly complicated to capture with the lighting and angles. The photos never seem to do it justice.
The wall was given a new life, and a soft contrast with Sherwin Williams Rain Washed. We love the way it plays to well with the grays + brass accents in the space. It’s a fresh feel with a different kind of look.
We added storage space to their toilet area, along with a pop of personality with this wallpaper.
And if you ask us, that runner was made for their space.
So enough of the eye candy {if we do say so ourselves} let’s get to all those details!
Tile:
One of the biggest game changers in this space, is the fabulous Jeffrey Court Tile.
For the shower walls + surrounding tub area, we loved bringing in this gorgeous subway tile in simply grey. The awesome hand-mottled look with subtle variations and soft color, really brought so much to this bath! It gives each piece a truly unique look. Did you notice? It glimmers oh so subtly in the light.
Shower floors: For the shower floors {and niche} we used their Thunderhead Gray Penny Round Mosaic for a no-slip surface. They all work seamlessly together for a one of a kind look in their refreshed space!
Floor Tile: I try not to pick favorites, but this floor tile has my heart. Herringbone pattern on the floor, is just icing on the cake. Jeffrey Court’s Field Tile in Basalt Gray is a one of kind look for this space.
Our clients also opted for a heated floor in their bath. I guess that would be icing on top of icing. It feels SO good in the colder months.
Bathroom Lights: The lights we chose for their space, is some of my very favorites as well. SO much so, that I have the same mirrors going into my own bath renovation happening right now.
Kichler lighting does it again, with this awesome combo.
Mirrors: For the vanity area, we chose backlit mirrors. Have you ever stayed anywhere with a backlit mirror? My first experience was a hotel, and I’d never felt more like a model in my entire life. Think the ring lights they use for social media {because they’re flattering}, except every day when you’re doing your routine. It illuminates everything, but in a soft, flattering way. These mirrors are big on style and do not disappoint.
The Chennai 30″ LED Vanity Mirror in Champagne gold is oh so pretty! We love the way it instantly updated the space. At night, it has an old school Hollywood glam kind of feel. Such simple, clean lines with a warm glow.
Vanity Sconces: We paired them with these awesome Azores 2 Light Wall Sconces in Natural Brass.
This vintage industrial design is like art for their bathroom vanity walls.
Chandelier: The crowning touch was this fabulous chandelier over the bathtub. I feel like we really captured the drama of their bath with this fabulous Voleta chandelier from Kichler. It definitely draws the eyes up, and works with the window and other lines in the space.
Here’s another glimpse of that vanity light during the day! So pretty. I’m smitten with the lighting/tile/wall color combo.
Plumbing Fixtures:
Plumbers truly love Delta fixtures for a reason. From their universally dependable pieces, to their timeless looks with amazing guarantees, we do too.
Sink Faucets: Though we never are really partial to particular designs, Delta’s CASSIDY™ line is probably one of our all time favorites. We adore their Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet in Champagne Bronze.
This line is available in five different finishes, and we love the way you can bring in their simple silhouettes to work with just about any look. It’s a timeless feel for a traditional finish that you won’t tire of over the years. Their faucet uses 20% less water than the industry standard, so it conserves without compromising performance.
On the practical side, I love that a simple wipe down makes them oh so easy to clean.
Yes, I’m officially getting to that age where I like my bathroom elements that are easy to clean.
Shower Fixtures: We continued the CASSIDY™ line throughout the space, with their TempAssure® 17T Series Shower Trim In Champagne Bronze
From their site: Delta® H2Okinetic® Showers look different because they are different. Using advanced technology, H2Okinetic showers sculpt water into a unique pattern, giving you 3X the coverage of a standard shower head.* The end result is a shower that provides more coverage, more warmth and more intensity for a truly drenching shower experience. So go ahead and indulge, because now you can enjoy the feeling of more water without using more water.
Yes, please.
They’re also designed to look new for life, guaranteed not to discolor or corrode. We’ve seen our share of cheap fixtures, and this is a big deal when it comes to a long term investment.
Tub Filler: For the tub filler, which felt so luxurious, we added the Delta® Single Handle Floor Mount Tub Filler Trim With Hand Shower-Less Handle In Champagne Bronze.
Again, I love how all of their pieces work so seamlessly together, to form a true, cohesive look in a space. If you’ve never had a hand shower for a tub filler before, we highly recommend. We’re kind of obsessed with this option. Just like their standard shower heads, their hand held shower heads also sculpt water into a unique wave pattern to give the feel of using more water, while actually using less. We love this about their systems!
We just adore the way the entire space came together for an amazing spa experience, at home!
What’s your favorite element about this one of a kind bath? We think the change was pretty dramatic!
We’d love to hear. Have an inspired day!
