Confession, y’all – I am kind of a sucker and quite the nerd who loves creating some fun projects when it comes to all things Valentine’s and the handmade option. In lieu of the upcoming holiday, we thought it would be fun to have a little round up of sorts. So without further ado, from gift ideas to projects and free printables…. a few of our Valentine’s ideas. {Or really, a few fun snow day projects, too.} And it gives us a little something to look forward to…
You can apply them to every holiday… Stained glass cookies + free printables
Or the lollipop version…
{yes they’re for Easter… but paired with the valentine’s printables above, are oh so cute}
All things colorful parties: We love the idea of turning our watercolor party into something Valentines-ish. I mean, all the colors work, right?
A cute little impromptu party: Free Valentine’s + more free printables
This cute little printable {if we do say so ourselves}: Free Valentine’s art + stationery
The Write Stuff: {A little NKOTB anyone? – ear worm.}
For this one, I busted out a few of our washi tape pencils. But it’s a simple little solution for any of you looking for something beyond the candy boundary this year… {write stuff printable, here.}
Cute little projects: Or you could pair them with our branch crayons and a journal for someone ya really love.
{Teacher’s gift from the teacher’s pet anyone?} Some fun little ideas if you’re feeling creative.
We topped it off with another printable {you color me rad} here.
Sparkle Slime: Valentine’s sparkle slime, and a free printable. Because duh. Slime.
Looking for a place setting idea? An easy Valentine’s tablescape
Earring crafts: We’re sharing these again for a candy-free-with-printables option
You totally rock: For this one, we took a printable, folded it over, and thew in a little retro action when it comes to awesome candy.
You could always just do pet rocks from your yard for a no-candy option, but we figured this was a little more fun.
We found the little baggies at our local craft store, or you can get some here.
{You totally rock printable, here.} Fun for adults, too.
Color me Rad: For this one, we decided we wanted to melt some crayons.
We found this pan a few years ago at Ikea (but found a similar one for you guys, here if you don’t live near an Ikea.)
I think I overcooked ours because I was busy hiding like a ninja when someone came to our door, but this is our new favorite hobby.
The crayons. Not hiding like a ninja. But that, too.
You have My Heart:
For these… basically anything you have around you home to make some cute little arrows. It’s a great hands on project with the kids!
Almost anything from around your home will do. Straws, sticks, tape, glitter, felt, twine, feathers, construction paper… you name it. The world is your arrow oyster.
A cute little something to make with your kiddos. {You Have My Heart printable here}.
Because nothing beats crafting in your pajamas with a little chocolate.
For the readers: because nothing beats these cute lil bookmarks
Banner Day: And for a fun project for anyone, whether it’s a happy at their desk or something to adorn your children’s spaces: with a little printable to go with it, here.
{Every day is a banner day with you.}
An easy picnic table: to take your lover on a picnic. That escalated quickly. The word lover always sounds so aggressive to me. 😀 Maybe just a fam thing. Since this post is for kids. I just wanted to make sure you were paying attention…
Handmade gift toppers: these adorable little gift toppers
You make my heart flutter: {See what we did there?} Because these are just the cutest things ever
And we revamped a few oldie-but-goodies.
Our free Valentines printables!
Attach them to anything of your choice, or simply hand them out. It’s up to you!
From left to right: big fan, little cupcake, you’re a star, hoot, happy valentines, make my heart race, to the moon, captured my heart, spin me right round
Pssst – You can still get the older versions, here. Mix and match them all!
Handmade Ribbons: And because everyone loves an award.
Key to my heart: This cute idea if you’re feeling like some keychains.
Handmade Puzzles: If you’re feeling super crafty, our kids adored these heart puzzles.
Little Keychains: These would make an ideal addition for any non-candy Valentine’s option, if we do say so ourselves.
This – to pair with any of the above valentines…. because it’s like a total throwback to your 80’s kids glitter everything days. Fairy dust!
This fabulous spa kit – teachers gifts anyone? How about a because-you’re-tired-gift?
And while we’re on the topic of soap… this pressed flower soap!
This adorable kids dry erase board with FrogTape® – more of a snow day craft but we’re leaving it here because snow. ;}
Tassel Necklaces for Kids – because again… snow.
